Christina Reagan and family in front of the Reagan house in Nora Springs, Iowa. The picture may well been taken not long after Martin Reagan died (he died in May, 1904). Will try to identify these people the best we can. Some we know for sure. Children sitting in front: We don't know, but they may all be Cora May's children. Her first child, a girl, was born in November, 1896. Her second child, a boy, was born in 1900. Her third child, a boy, was born in 1905. Her fourth child, a girl, was born in 1907. Her last child, a boy, was born in 1912. She lived in Missouri and so probably would have been more inclined than others to have her children with her at this gathering as they didn't have a house of their own in the area, and she and her family may even have been staying with her mother on this visit. The man sitting on the grass near bottom left of picture next to a woman leaning away from him is Charles Henry Reagan, and the woman he is sitting next to is probably his oldest sister, Bertha Emeline (called "Ella"). The woman in the woven chair is Christina Reagan. The three women behind Charles Reagan and his oldest sister are, from left (at window) to right (at porch) are: 1) don't know, 2) don't know, 3) Alice Gilchrist Reagan (next to post), wife of Charles. The "don't knows" are probably the wives of two of the Reagan brothers. The man you can see directly behind Christina's chair looks like Daniel Reagan. The man sitting on porch holding a baby looks like James Louis Reagan -- If it is James Louis and he's holding his first child, then the picture was probably not taken until 1909 or 1910 as his first child was born May 16, 1909. Man next to him (wearing a cap, between James Louis and Daniel) appears to be Paul Martin Reagan. The large man at far right of picture (next to Cora May - called "May" - sitting in a chair with a baby) looks like John Albert Reagan (called "Albert"). The woman near him, also behind Cora May, may be John Albert's wife. The woman sitting to Christena's left is probably the wife of one of the Reagan brothers. This leaves three men in the background unidentified. One may be Ella's third husband (married in 1907); he was born in 1863. One is probably Cora May's husband (born in 1870). One may even be one of Christina's grandsons. Her oldest grandsons were Lawrence Fingalsen, born in 1887, and Thomas Leroy ("Roy") Reagan, born in 1888.
