Eleanor was married to Narcis Alexcis ("N.A.") Couron on August 3, 1912, in Nebraska City, Nebraska. We have no photographs of Eleanor's first husband (James Thompson) when he was young, or even middle-aged. Narcis is the one all her kids remembered as their dad, and he was "Grandpa Couron" to Eleanor's grandchildren who didn't know for a long time they even had a "Grandpa Thompson." There is a lot more information on Eleanor Goff's life, including several more pictures, but it's being saved for later. This particular family project was not intended to take us much further than the year 1900. We will include Eleanor Goff and others we've barely looked at in the addendum to this project (to be finished when possible, but it will always be "being worked on" as this one has been for years...but now it's done!) The "addendum" will focus mostly on Eleanor Goff and her children (and her second and third husbands) and John Vincent Reagan/Regan and Helen Luella (Thompson) Reagan and their children (with a few odd uncles and others thrown in for good measure), plus the family restaurants. We will not cover those who have been born since the late 1930s and in fact it will not cover anyone not born in Iowa. Nor will we go deeply into detail with regard to those born after 1900, especially since the time they were married. See more about the addendum in the Preface. |
