Family members recall that Charles might have lived in Sioux City, Iowa at some time, possibly in the 1920s. At the time of his brother Carl's death, in April of 1936, Charles Goff was living in Minnesota. |

| NOTES: Carl (as he was called) enlisted for service in World War I in 1918 and trained at Camp Gordon in Georgia. On account of "disability," however, he was discharged in a week, and except for that very brief period spent his entire life in Cherokee. Apparently he never married. |

| NOTES: Fred Goff served in World War I, entering the service on April 26, 1918. He was a sergeant in the medical department. He trained at Camp Dodge, Iowa, Fort Riley, Kansas, and Whipple Barracks in Arizona. Fred was converted in May, 1905 (apparently via the First Church of Christ in Cherokee). He met his wife while he was working at a carnival. In 1925 Fred was living with his wife and son Eugene at Fred's mother's house at 413 East Main Street. Also living there were Fred's brothers Charles, Robert and Carl. |
