At bottom of cardboard frame it says: Carver Studio, Ft. Dodge

The postcard is signed "Mary." We believe Mary Alice (Gilchrist) Reagan/Regan, the mother of Roy and Allan, was called Alice and that she wrote what's on the back. Allan is Alice's son James Allan ("Allan" or "Allen") Reagan/Regan. Roy is her son Thomas Leroy ("Roy") Reagan/Regan. Frank, whom the writer of the postcard mentions, was Allan and Roy's brother, Charles Francis ("Frank") Reagan/Regan. Tom (in the picture on this postcard) is probably the son of Alice's sister Mary A. (Gilchrist) Carney, the wife of Thomas Carney (they lived in Mason City, Iowa). It is likely that she had a son named Tom, after the father. Also, of the five Gilchrist sisters, we know what four of them were called (Nellie, Jennie, Agnes, and Alice). We don't have evidence of a nickname for Mary A. Gilchrist Carney, so she must be "Mary."

Roy was born in February, 1888, and Allen/Allan was born in November 1891. Can you figure out how old these "boys" are?
