Alice Gilchrist Reagan's Autograph Book

This was written in 1886 and so is one of the earliest entries in the book; but the writer decided to write on the last page of the book anyway. She may have gotten the last two lines of her rhyme wrong...It looks like it should be: "First to be remembered, Last to be forgot." Otherwise it's rather perverse. There is a pin sticking through what she wrote, which you will see in the next entry. She wrote:

..............................................Oct. 19/86.

Dear Allie:

..........I'm last in your album
.............Last in your heart,
..........Last to be remembered,
.............First to be forgot.
..................Yours Cordially,
.....................Hattie Barker.
