The Gilchrist Sisters

There were five sisters -- Nellie (Ellen J.), Jennie (Margaret J.), Mary, Agnes, and Alice, so these are probably them. The second from the right, with both arms behind her back, looks like Alice (Mary Alice, or Alice Mary), wife of Charles Henry Regan. Nellie was born in 1859, Jennie was born in 1860 or 61, Mary was born in 1861 or 62, Agnes was born in 1865, and Alice was born in 1868 -- All were born in northern Illinois. They had a little brother (John Baptist Gilchrist) who was born in 1870 in Illinois, and died in 1892 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They had another brother, Robert John ("B.J.") Gilchrist, who was born in 1873 and he also moved to Fort Dodge Iowa. He married "Daisy" (Lidia McLuen) in about 1901. She is still remembered in our family (the Regan family).
